Spark Park Camp Out

Join Us for a GOMM Camp Out at Spark Park!

Saturday, March 21st @ 4pm thru
Sunday, March 22nd @ 8am

Grab your gear and get ready for a fun overnight adventure under the stars! Set up your tent, hang out with friends and family, and enjoy a cozy dinner. This event is free and open to all current GOMM families, teachers, and staff. 

Don’t forget to buy your official Camp Out T-Shirt!

A few things to know before signing up:

  • Overnight stay: Yep, you’ll be camping overnight! Please make sure you’re able to stay overnight before registering. 
  • Space is limited: Make sure to register to save your spot.
  • One registration per family: You’ll get a confirmation email once you sign up.
  • Changes: If your plans change, just email Jeannette or Denise at campout@gopto.org.

We can’t wait to spend the night at Spark Park with you,it’s going to be full of fun, food, and memories!

Things To Consider Bringing:

  • Tent
  • Sleeping pad/cot/bag
  • Air mattress & pump
  • Lanterns/headlamps/flashlights (battery powered)
  • Chairs
  • Cooler
  • Water and/or soft drinks
  • Snacks ( Not so many 😉, we will be having Middle School Snack Attack join us)
  • Games (board games, card games, lawn games, balls…)
  • Books
  • Bug spray
  • Hand sanitizer/wipes
  • Trash bags

Note: Dinner will be provided free of charge to adults and students on Saturday evening, and donuts and coffee will be available on Sunday morning. S’mores kits will be provided to all kids.

Things to Know Before You Come

  • Check-In: All families MUST stop by the Sign-In table upon arrival to get an event wristband.
  • Adult Supervision: Every student must be accompanied by an adult—no exceptions. Students without an adult will be denied entry.
  • Safety First: Adults are responsible for monitoring their students at all times. Loitering or wandering alone on school grounds is not allowed. Families will be asked to leave if this rule is broken.
  • Facilities: There is no access to school buildings. Porta-potties and hand washing stations will be provided.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.
  • Fires & Equipment: No camp stoves, individual fires, or generators.
  • Glass & Drinks: No glass bottles or containers.
  • Smoking & Alcohol: By Texas law, smoking, vaping, and alcohol are prohibited in all Houston park spaces.
  • Toys & Sports: Toy guns (water guns, Nerf, BB guns, etc.) and baseball bats are not allowed. Footballs and soccer balls are okay, but please be mindful of others.
  • Tents: Students entering other families tents is discouraged.
  • Quiet Hours: Lights out/quiet time starts at 9:30PM–10:00 PM.
  • Cleanup: Please dispose of trash properly and leave your camp area cleaner than you found it.

Register Notes

  • No one will be allowed to register after 5:30 PM unless prior arrangements have been made with the Camp Out Co-Chairs.
  • Only students currently enrolled at GOMM are eligible to attend.
