Spark Park Camp Out

Join us for our annual Spark Park Camp Out, hosted by GOPTO.

Saturday March 29th @ 4pm thru
Sunday, March 30th @ 8am

Gather your supplies and let’s set up a tent at the Spark Park for an overnight* fun-filled camping adventure! Dinner will be provided for adults and students, but feel free to bring snacks and beverages.

This is a free event, open to all GOMM families, teachers, and staff. 

Safety is of the highest priority. Carefully read all items below before registering.

SPACE IS LIMITED. YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND THIS EVENT USING THE FORM ON THIS PAGE. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER MORE THAN ONCE. YOU WILL RECEIVE A RECEIPT OF YOUR RESERVATION BY EMAIL. SHOULD THERE BE A CHANGE IN YOUR RESERVATION, PROMPTLY EMAIL CAMPOUT@GOPTO.ORG

Things To Consider Bringing:

  • Tent
  • Sleeping pad/cot/bag
  • Air mattress & pump
  • Lanterns/headlamps/flashlights (battery powered)
  • Chairs
  • Cooler
  • Water and/or soft drinks
  • Snacks
  • Games (board games, card games, lawn games, balls…)
  • Books
  • Bug spray
  • Hand sanitizer/wipes
  • Trash bags

Note: Dinner will be provided free of charge to adults and students on Saturday evening, and donuts and coffee will be available on Sunday morning. S’mores kits will be provided to all families.

Things To Know: 

  • Upon arrival, all families are required to check-in at the Sign In table and will receive an event wristband.
  • All students must be accompanied by an adult or will be denied entry
  • Safety is of the highest priority. All students must be monitored by their accompanying adult at all timesNo exceptions.
  • Loitering or wandering on the school grounds will not be tolerated. Should a student be found unaccompanied on school grounds, their family will be asked to leave the event immediately.
  • There will be no access to school property. Porta-potties and hand washing stations will be available.
  • No pets allowed
  • No camp stoves, individual fires, or generators permitted
  • No glass bottles or containers of any kind
  • Texas law states that it is prohibited to smoke, vape, or consume alcohol in any city of Houston park interior or exterior space
  • Toy guns of any kind are strictly prohibited (water guns, nerf guns, bb guns, etc.)
  • Students entering other family tents is discouraged 
  • “Lights out”/ quiet hours starts at 10pm
  • Properly dispose of trash items and leave camp area/school property cleaner than when you arrived
